How it works
To use our equipment, you will need to register with us at High Wycombe Shopmobility, there is a charge to register (For Charges Click Here).
On your first visit we ask you to:
- Phone and book a session
- Bring two forms of ID with an address and if possible photo ID eg. Driving license, blue badge, prescription, household bill
- Complete a simple registration form with your contact details, emergency contact details, your weight and height – assistance is available to fill in the form if needed
- You’ll be matched to the most suitable vehicle for your needs and trained on how to use it correctly and responsibly
- For scooters and power chairs – you will need to complete an insurance assessment and form to check you can use the equipment appropriately
Please allow 10-15 minutes for registration and for us to show you how to use the equipment.

Once you are registered
Once you have registered as a member of High Wycombe Shopmobility, the following services are available:

Use suitable equipment during our opening hours within our town boundary
The boundary was reviewed and changed in October 2018 – Boundary Map 2018 review.We highly recommended that you phone us to book a morning or afternoon session when you know you are coming into town, especially during busy periods, and we’ll try our best to accommodate you. Check our opening hours here.

Last hire is 4pm Monday to Saturday and 3pm on bank holidays (Sunday’s Closed all Day)
We may be able to meet you from the bus station or from your car if required, this is subject to availability, please ask in advance.
Regular bookings
If you would like to hire the equipment on set day/s each week we can make a regular booking – if you don’t need it one week please let us know.
Short term hire for manual wheelchairs (small charge applies)
Our manual wheelchairs are available for short term hire for £5 per night or £35 per week . Please bring a £20 deposit which will be returned with the safe return of all the equipment – cash, cheque or card payments accepted.

How to Book
Once you have registered as a member, we encourage you to book in advance when possible to avoid disappointment. We can offer morning or afternoon sessions, if you need it for the whole day please ask for availability.
You can book by calling us during office hours on 01494 472277. Please note we do not take bookings left on our answerphone.
